Just as Saturn has its rings, banded agate is
encircled with stripes of cream and chocolate
brown so subtle you barely notice them at first.
But the closer you look, the more interesting
it gets. Giant (20mm) banded agate globes
in orbit on a strand of freshwater pearls.
